Dallas College bursaries and scholarships are centered on the core principle of granting exceptional young Muslim men from disadvantaged backgrounds – both locally and abroad – access to a unique education in leadership. The bursaries and scholarships vary in scope and extent, and are allocated exclusively by the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor respectively. New applicants seeking a bursary or scholarship are required to indicate in Section 7 of the Dallas College Application Form, and a clear explanation of their extenuating circumstances in their letter of intention and recommendation, as well as supporting documentary evidence. Bursaries and scholarships are annually reviewed to ensure the justification for the award remains.
The aim of our bursary program is to assist students in getting on their own two feet within the first year of study – financial support for academic material as well as accommodation are considered in each individual submission, and vary in scale depending on the individual student’s situation.
Scholarships are allocated only in the second and third year of study, and are awarded based on performance in exams, sport activity, project engagement and demonstration of leadership skills. Dallas College offers both full and partial scholarships, some of which have vacation as well as post-graduate internships with our contributing benefactors.
